Vietnam, with its 90 million inhabitants, is developing a vibrant yoga scene and about 80 percent of the yoga centers in Hanoi are run by Ananda Marga or AM related centers. Needless to say there is a high demand for qualified yoga teachers. In August Dada Shankarsanananda from Ananda Marga Yoga Academy (Singapore) conducted advanced yoga training in Hanoi to 150 yoga teachers.

Didi Ananda Jaya runs three kindergartens in the favelas of Sao Paulo: Jardin Peri Alto, Jardin Guarani, and Jardin Florida Paulista. She set them all up herself starting in 1989 with 45 children and five employees and now she has 403 children aged 0-9 and 81 employees. More recently she also started a before-and-after school centre for the local children of Jardin Peri Alto.
