Ananda Marga at the United Nations


On 14 April 2026, a special conference was organized at the United Nations in New York City by the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations to commemorate the 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar. The theme of the conference was “Dr BR Ambedkar’s Vision of Constitutional Morality and its Relevance for Multilateralism.” The event brought together ambassadors, diplomats, NGO representatives, members of civil society, scholars, intellectuals, and distinguished guests from various countries. More than 100 participants attended the program.

The speakers delivered insightful lectures on the life, philosophy, and contributions of Dr Ambedkar, particularly his historic role in framing the Constitution of India and promoting social justice, equality, and constitutional values.

Dada Abhiramananda represented Ananda Marga at the event and interacted with ambassadors, NGO leaders, intellectuals, and distinguished delegates. During the gathering, the humanitarian, spiritual, educational, and social service activities of Ananda Marga were introduced to many respected dignitaries and participants.
The presence of Ananda Marga at such an important international forum created a positive impression among diplomats and participants. This participation further strengthened public relations and pracára work in the New York Sector and enhanced cooperation with international NGOs and civil society organizations connected with the United Nations.

At present, Ananda Marga maintains constructive relationships with more than 20 NGOs working within the UN framework. The event was meaningful, inspiring and highly successful, reflecting the growing recognition of Ananda Marga’s contribution toward human welfare, universalism, social justice, spirituality and global harmony.
